Can someone please help me with this issue. I reinstalled my system and before that G6 was working beautifully. After the reinstall of Windows XP Pro I installed G6 Ftp again and it seemed to install fine. When I go to Tools\Local Service\Start Service I get the error of "local ftp service could not be started" after I hit OK on that message another message come up and says "Could not establish a connection with host "127.0.0.1:8021"" I have never seen this before and I dont know how to fix it. I did a google search and I was unable to find any information. I also did a seach here in the forum and I got no results. Can someone please help me solve this issue.

TIA

Yes, I found a thread that was suppose to fix the "Could not establish a connection with host "127.0.0.1:8021" error. The fix for that was to change "GrantAllAccessToLocalHost= from 0 to 1 in the remote.ini but that didnt work. The "local ftp service could not be started" error is the first error.

Check the Event Viewer and search here for the G6 error and the reason why the service is not started.
Or if the service start and crash, check the G6 folder for the error file.
If the service is not started, you cannot connect to it

Thanks for the help.

I checked the Event Viewer in administration tools nothing shows up for G6. I tried to start the service in G6 a number of times and nothing shows up in event viewer. I checked the G6 folder and I could not find an error file.

No errors dry.gif

Do a backup of your settings, uninstall it and remove all ini files
Then reinstall and try if it work with a clean configuration.

Miki

Like Miki, maybe a settings or ini file corrupted ?
Errors are the best teachers.
